VISIT THE PALANCIA RIVER REGION
Not too far from Valencia in the far southern section of the province of Castellon, the river Palancia courses though a beautiful valley dotted by small towns rich with history. Visit the pretty towns along the route and learn about the porous hills that filter the water as it drains through the valley. Visit a spectacular waterfall in the town of Navajas where nobility once vacationed in grand summer homes.
Head over to the Caves of St Josep where you will visit the longest underground river in Europe. Before going on your tour, you will have time to enjoy lunch at the plaza in front of several restaurants at the entrance to the caves. Enjoy a tour via canoe through the caves where you will learn more about the history and geography of the region.
